One live timeline for every freight train on the Nordland line.
01 Challenge
Northlane moves 1,200 freight trains a week between Narvik, Bodø and Trondheim. Drivers, yard crews and customers each worked from a different spreadsheet, so a delayed wagon meant forty phone calls and a customer who found out last.
02 Approach
We rode the night trains and sat in three control rooms before drawing anything. The product became one shared timeline: every train, every stop, every wagon, with the same arrival time shown to the driver, the yard and the customer.

03 Build
We built the tablet app for drivers, the web dashboard for dispatch and a public tracking page, all on one design system of 140 components. The arrival-time model runs on live GPS and signalling data and explains itself whenever it changes.

04 Outcome
Customer calls to dispatch fell by 38% in the first quarter. The same system now runs Northlane’s marketing site and its customer invoices.
